Technology Columns - Life watch Digital tomorrow
Children have a new space where they can explore technology and the way it touches our lives. Samsung Electronics India Information and telecommunication Ltd (SEIIT) in partnership with the National Science Centre in Delhi has developed an exhibition space for children that showcases technology and gives a hands-on experience of products of the futuristic digital era and the tech possibilities of the future. The walk-through exhibition, `Digital Adventure', that allows for a bit of interactive learning as well, is targeted at school-going children, their teachers and parents and, of course, the society at large. Aimed at widening knowledge, the exhibition showcases semiconductors and how they work, the different parts of the personal computer and how it is put together, home theatres and the parameters of different display screens, mobile phones and their evolution etc. "And the National Science Centre seems to be making full use of this. `Digital Adventure' in Delhi is the first such venture. Similar exhibitions will be put up in all the science centres across the country.
