Tata Housing goes ‘affordable’

Tata Housing Development Company will provide 1,300 ‘affordable’ homes, which include 2BHK (bedroom-hall-kitchen) and 3BHK apartments of 670-1,380 sq.ft in the price band of Rs 12.73 lakh to Rs 26.22 lakh at Boisar, 100 km from Mumbai.

A company release said the project ‘New Haven’ on 35 acres would come with a swimming pool, clubhouse and community centre, playground, indoor badminton court, basketball court, jogging track and acupressure paths.

Mr Brotin Banerjee, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Housing, said “With ‘New Haven’, we have once again created a landmark offering where affordability meets exceptional lifestyle. Every home is set in a well-finished modern building with attractive green streetscapes and lush landscapes.

“This venture envisages setting up of its first flagship project at Boisar, Maharashtra. Followed by this launch, ‘New Haven’ will expand presence across tier-I and-II cities.”

Like all other properties of Tata Housing, the project will be built under the guidance of the Indian Green Building Council. The project will follow the integrated township approach and have sufficiently large centralised and accessible open space, besides neighbourhood retail and other facilities, he said.

In June, Tata Housing launched a low-cost housing project of about 1,300 apartments of 283 sq.ft, 360 sq.ft and 465 sq.ft, in the price band of Rs 3.9 lakh to Rs 6.7 lakh at Boisar. — Our Mumbai Bureau

Marg Ltd creates new brand

Marg Ltd, the Chennai-based real estate and infrastructure developer, has created an umbrella brand MARG ProperTies to distinguish its residential real estate project.

At a press conference earlier this week, Mr G.R.K. Reddy, Chairman, Marg Ltd, said the brand will stand for delivery of value and commitment of quality to the customer.

It is not just about giving it a popular image. MARG ProperTies, as the residential arm of MARG, will offer value enriched homes, showcasing a wide range of options for a wide range of budgets from affordable and value housing to luxury offerings. It envisages products offering financial packages like “No Pre-EMI” schemes and tailor-made solutions.

Marg has emerged a leading player in infrastructure and large developments which gives it economies of scale.

This means a significant bargaining power on prices of commodities like steel and cement, a benefit that Marg ProperTies will share with its buyers, Mr Reddy said.

Mr Oscar Braganza, Executive Director, Marg ProperTies, said the brand will mean assured value with provision to upgrade to a bigger and better home, assured area, through a measure and pay guarantee, no dead space, and options to select home furnishings or consumer durables from MARG’s exclusive associates. — Our Chennai Bureau
