Cars Marketing - New Products & Services Get set for new Getz S. Muralidhar
This is the new Hyundai Getz that will hit Indian roads soon. Hyundai Motor India will start production of this new face-lifted model from March. But the initial few months' production rolling out of the company's Chennai plant will all be exported. The face-lifted Getz is expected to be launched in the domestic market by the middle of this year and just like the company's export plans, the new version of this premium hatch will be introduced in India with both petrol and diesel engine options. Hyundai officials are tight-lipped about the engines that the new Getz will be rolled out with. But the car is already being offered in many European markets with new 1.1-litre and 1.4-litre petrol engines and a 1.5-litre common-rail direct injection diesel engine. The 1.1-litre petrol engine and the 1.5-litre (CRTD) diesel engine that the new Getz is offered with in markets such as the UK will be a perfect match for meeting the lower excise duty norms set by New Delhi. With a total length at 3,825mm, which is within the 4,000mm limit, pricing the new Getz with these engines can be extremely aggressive. The new CRTD diesel engine has been developed in-house by Hyundai and can be tuned to offer over 108 horses of peak power.
