More lifetime pre-paid offers

FOLLOWING the lead taken by Airtel (owned by Bharti Tele-Ventures) Hutch has rolled out pre-paid service `for life' for a one-time charge of Rs 999. The offer called the Chalte Rahe is available to the existing and new subscribers. The tariffs will be Rs 1.99 per minute for local calls and Rs 2.99 per minute for STD calls. The recharge comes with inbuilt talk time worth Rs 25. Future recharges will offer full talk time and users need not have to buy validity recharges every month. Reliance Infocomm has come out with lifetime pre-paid validity voucher for Rs 995.

Tata Teleservices has introduced a lifetime-prepaid card, which offers airtime charge of 99 paise a minute. It is also bundling a range of handsets for Rs 2,199. BSNL also announced a lifetime pre-paid card for Rs 949 with a pre-loaded talk time of Rs 99.
