Maruti tops in J.D. Power study

For the sixth straight year, Maruti topped the J. D. Power Asia Pacific's customer satisfaction study for 2005. Mahindra emerged the most improved brand in its study; Ford and Honda were the only others to have increased their scores. The industry as a whole has inched its way forward.

The study also states that the operating costs of new vehicles increased by 11and 15 per cent for petrol and diesel vehicles respectively. Tata Motor's Indigo and Indica recorded strong performances in the diesel space while Maruti continued to outperform its competitors in the petrol segment.
