Maruti 800 price slashed

MARUTI Udyog has announced a Rs 16,000 price cut on its mainstay, entry-level car model M-800, taking it below the Rs 2 lakh price tag. While the non-AC version will cost Rs 1.99 lakh, a drop of Rs 16,286, the air-conditioned version comes at Rs 2.22 lakh against the earlier price of Rs 2,38,000. The pricing is aimed at attracting entry-level customers for whom Rs 2 lakh may be a psychological barrier.
