Technical Analysis Markets - Technical Analysis Focus of the week B. Krishnakumar
Havell's India (Rs 309.4): The long-term outlook is bullish. The stock could, however, get into a term corrective phase on a move to the immediate target zone of Rs 318-320. The expected short-term corrective phase could lead to a decline to the Rs 295-300 range. Shareholders may consider partial profit-booking if the stock faces resistance at the Rs 318-320 band. Fresh exposures may be considered on evidence of support at around Rs 295-300 range. Stop-loss for fresh long positions may be placed at Rs 285 and shareholders may also remain invested with the stop-loss at the same level. Alstom Projects (Rs 234.7): The stock has been on a steady uptrend in the recent months. It reversed direction at the resistance level at Rs 247-250 range on Thursday. The near-term trend is bearish and a drop to Rs 222-225 range appears likely. A close below Rs 222 could push the stock to Rs 212-215 range. Shareholders may hold with a stop-loss at Rs 222. Fresh exposures may be considered either on declines or on a move above Rs 250. Evidence of support at the Rs 215-220 range may be used to take long positions with a stop- loss at Rs 209. Considering that the long term-trend is bullish, the stock is likely to touch the target zone of Rs 275-280. The long- term positive outlook would be valid as long as the price stays above the negative trigger level of Rs 190.
