Forms for securities transaction tax

The Central Board of Direct Taxes has, through its notification 1/2005 dated January 6, 2005, notified forms 10DB and 10DC as evidence of payment of securities transaction tax, which is to be furnished along with the return of income.

Form No. 10DB is to be furnished in case of transactions entered into by the assessee in a recognised stock exchange, and in respect of transactions of sale of units of equity-oriented funds to mutual funds, it shall be in Form No. 10DC.
