AirTel One State, One Rate scheme

AIRTEL is to launch its One State, One Rate scheme on July 21, when calls made in the Tamil Nadu and Chennai telecom circles will be billed as a local one. This means AirTel customers can now call any other mobile number within the State at a single rate — Re 1 per minute for post-paid and Rs 2.40 per minute for pre-paid subscribers.

All incoming calls are free. The grace period for carrying forward the balance for AirTel prepaid subscribers has been reduced from 45 days to 15 days.
