Jet Airways to hike surcharge
Jet Airways plans a three-tier increase in the insurance surcharge levied after the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The surcharge would be levied in a manner that short distance fliers pay less. The details have not yet been announced. Indian Airlines has imposed a surcharge of Rs 100 or $2 per flight to cover the increase in insurance costs. -- BL Research Bureau
