Mobile banking by Global Trust

Global Trust Bank has launched its mobile banking facility - Intouch - for customers in Chennai. This is in association with Airtel.

The facility is also available to subscribers of select mobile phone service providers in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Mumbai.

The facility is offered free of charge by the bank, and will carry the SMS regular service charges of Airtel. Using the service customers can enquire about balances in their accounts, holdings in demat accounts, status of cheques and details of last three transactions. Funds can be transferred between accounts and a transaction statement can also be requested. -- BL Research Bureau
