Insurance cover for diabetics
National Insurance Company is offering medical insurance facilities for known diabetic patients.
So far, diabetics were not included in the Mediclaim policy along with quite a few other ailments. Under the new scheme, diabetic patients will be eligible to claim hospitalisation charges up to a maximum of Rs 3 lakh per annum for an annual nominal premium. -- BL Research Bureau
