Inflation slightly down
The annual inflation rate decreased by 0.14 percentage points to 7.41 per cent in the week-ended November 18, despite a further increase in the price of manufactured products.
The point-to-point inflation rate based on the WPI for all commodities (base:1993-94=100) continued to remain above seven per cent from the previous week's figure of 7.55 and 3.16 per cent a year ago. The final inflation rate for the week-ended September 23 stood at 6.34 per cent compared to the provisional level of 6.06 per cent.
