Inflation move up

The annual inflation rate increased by 0.28 per cent to 7.55 for the week-ended November 11, due to further increase in fuel prices and higher prices of manufactured products.

The point-to-point inflation rate based on the WPI for all commodities (base:1993-94=100) went up to over 7.5 per cent from the previous week's figure of 7.27 and 3.23 a year back. The final inflation rate for the week-ended September 16 stood at 5.91 per cent against the provisional level of 5.56 per cent.
