Inflation up
The annual inflation rate went up by 0.35 per cent to 7.27 for the week-ended November 4 on account of the rise in fuel prices.
The point-to-point inflation rate based on the WPI for all commodities (base: 1993-94=100) rose from the previous week's figure of 6.92 and 3.23 a year ago. The final inflation rate for the week-ended September 9 was at 6.13 per cent as against the provisional figure of 5.72 per cent.
The primary articles index and the manufactured products index remained at their previous week's levels. Fuel prices registered a 0.5 per cent increase.
