Bonus rates of LIC

THE Life Insurance Corporation has announced the bonus rates for 1999-2000. The bonus rates have been approved by the LIC board after the actuarial valuation as of March 31, 2000.

The bonus for whole life type policies ranges from Rs 95-Rs 106; for endowment type policies, the bonus is Rs 56-Rs 89. For money back policy, the anticipated endowment ranges from Rs 53-Rs 72.

For the Jeevan Surabhi, the bonus rate is between Rs 56 and Rs 80 while those of Jeevan Mitra and Jeevan Sathi limited endowment policies would attract bonus of Rs 67 to Rs 91.

The LIC has also announced simple revisionary bonus rates and final bonus rates for policies that are in line with the stipulated conditions.
