Franchise call rates cut
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has decided to cut the standard rental charged for extension users (multi-storeyed buildings and co-operative housing societies) from Rs 125 to Rs 100 per month.
The franchised group consists of users of PBX, PABX and EPABX. The standard call charges have been cut from Rs 1.20 per minute to Rs 0.90 per minute for 500 metered calls per month. Beyond this level, the rate will be Rs 1.10 per minute.
