Inflation up
The inflation rate, based on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) for the week-ended September 9, 2000, was 5.72 per cent as against 5.64 per cent in the preceding week.
The rate in the corresponding month of the previous year was 3.12 per cent.
The inflation rate, based on the Consumer Price Inflation (CPI), was 4.95 per cent as against 5.24 per cent.
