Changing CD Writer software

My system has Pentium IV processor and Windows XP. I use SONIC as my CD Writer software. But I want to install NERO instead. Would it affect my CD Writer? Kindly provide a solution.

If you install two or more Burning software at the same time, it will not affect your Writer in any way. You can install Nero alongside any other writing software you have. However, the Nero software, which comes with most CD Writers, will work only with that CD Writer. You will need the original Nero installation package, which works with any CD Writer.
