Computer Usage Columns - Tip Off Another organiser, please!
I would like to know if there is any program (other than MS Outlook) that can schedule and remind me of my appointments and other date-related matters such as payments for LIC, road tax, licence fees, etc. The facility is available in the Tasks section of MS Outlook, but I do not want to install the whole MS Office just for this. Also please let me know if there is any MS PowerPoint viewer. Chandraprakash Ambat There are quite a number of organisers available for free download on the Net. You do not need to install MS Outlook just for the organiser. Here are a number of such appointment and personal organisers. There is a host of such software at the following site: http://www.webattack.com/freeware/misctools/fwpim.shtml. WinPIM is a personal information management tool, which is a shareware. It is simple and easy to use and you can have it downloaded at this URL: http://www.1000files.com/Business_and_Finance/Personal_ Info_Managers/WinPIM_1839_Review.html There are also some more advanced software, available as demo downloads, which you can use with little features disabled. These are the URLs: http://www.softpile.com/Business/Organizers/ Review_15911_index.html http://www.cadkas.de/appointments!.exe And as for the PowerPoint viewer, you can download it from the following URL: http://microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?
