Joust

Joust is a hierarchical menu system similar to Windows Explorer which has been written in JavaScript. It executes locally to avoid repetitive remote server access and supports all JavaScript-capable browsers.

The software uses Dynamic HTML for improved performance without sacrificing support for older browsers. It supports a `Floating Menu' as well as a frames interface, apart from Dynamic Menus to make large menus faster and more flexible.

MenuMaker

This is a small, easy-to-use tool that allows you to create smooth DHTML menus without any coding. You can build your menu using a visual display and customise the appearance by selecting from several options. Once your project is complete, Menu Maker will generate all the .js files and the .html menu page based on your structure. You can use the result either as a standalone that acts as a sitemap or that can be inserted in your pages as navigation aid.

WinToWeb Lite

WinToWeb lets you create Web site navigation systems in different styles. Upon user request, WinToWeb writes the corresponding HTML code, saves it to disk and displays the resulting menu in the user's default browser for testing.

CiteMap Builder

CiteMaps can be used to enliven numerous pages, such as providing high-level guides to a site, collections of related or cool links, or sharing favourites or bookmarks.

They are basically interactive VRML scenes of hyperlinked 3D objects. The CiteMap Builder is easy to use, even for those with no VRML experience. Over 100 3D objects can be dragged and dropped on to a grid and annotated with URL, label, title, and abstract.

The resulting 3D landscape can be traversed using any VRML97-enabled browser. The 3D scene can be embedded in an HTML page or placed into a two-frame page with a VRML window linked to an HTML window.

The VRML files created are easily edited to change colours, add image textures, etc., providing an excellent entry point for learning about creating 3D Web pages.

The software comes with a tool called VRML Data Trimmer which can be used to greatly reduce the size of the resulting VRML files.
