BECTON DICKINSON INDIA (BD) has introduced Uniject, a pre-filled single-use injection device. The concept aims to make the process of immunisation easier, minimise the risk of transmission of diseases, ensure economical transport and storage and environment-friendly disposal. Uniject is available in 0.25ml, 0.5 ml, 1 ml and shortly in 2 ml. It has been developed by Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH), Seattle.
