SBT launches short-term deposits
State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has introduced short-term deposits for periods between seven and 14 days.
The interest rate for deposits ranging from Rs 15 lakh to below Rs 1 crore has been fixed at 5.25 per cent. For amounts of Rs 1 crore and above, the rate is 5.50 per cent, according to a statement from SBT.
For NRE deposits, the maximum rate will be 10 per cent with an additional 0.25 per cent for amounts of Rs 15 lakh and above. The NRNR deposit rate will be 10.50 per cent for a three-year period with an additional 0.25 per cent for amounts of Rs 10 lakh and above.
