Window animation

You can shut off the animation displayed when you minimise and maximise windows. This tip makes navigating Windows 95 a lot faster, specially for those without superfast video cards.

Open Regedit, and then go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Open Control Panel / Desktop / WindowMetrics. Right-click on an empty space in the right panel.

Select New String value. Name it MinAnimate. Double-click on the new string value and click on `Modify'. Enter a value of 0 for Off or 1 for On and then close Regedit and all programs. Reboot.
