Asian Paints unveils new exterior in Kerala

KOCHI, Nov. 28

ASIAN Paints India Ltd (APIL), one of the leading paint manufacturers in the country, has introduced a new exterior paint Asian Paints Elastomeric in the Kerala market recently.

The new product has two properties that make it a unique proposition in this category. Firstly, it can bridge cracks up to 0.6 mm in size by stretching over the surface on which it is applied. Secondly, its rain guard property prevents rainwater from seeping through the concrete structure, a press release issued here said.

APIL is the market leader in the decorative segment in the paint industry with over 26 per cent market share of the total paint market in the country. The companys sales for the year 2000-01 exceeded Rs 1,500 crore. It has the largest dealer network among paint companies with 14,500 dealers across the country, the release said.
