BHEL organises vendors' meet

NEW DELHI: Vendors' co-operation was important in meeting customers' demand of shorter deliveries at lower costs coupled with higher reliability and quality equipment, said Mr R.C. Aggarwal, Director (Power), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL).

He was addressing a vendors meet being attended by nearly 350 delegates from India and abroad. According to Mr Sivasubramonian, General Manager, BHEL, customers want the commissioning time reduced to 36 months for 500 MW units and 27 months in the case of 210/250 MW units. -- Our Bureau
