BPL's co-branding deal with Loewe

BANGALORE, Nov. 6
BPL Ltd on Tuesday launched the Loewe brand of televisions in the Indian market. This follows BPL's strategic alliance with the $320-million Loewe AG of Germany to market the latter's brand.
BPL has launched Loewe in the Indian market through a co-branding deal. The televisions will be available in a range of six models with screen sizes ranging from 29 to 33 inch. They fall in the price bracket between Rs 80,000 and Rs 14.5 lakh.
The range comprises TVs with pure flat tubes, super flat tubes and conventional tubes. Each television is integrated with 8-bit Digital 100Hz technology, Full PIP, digital noise control and satellite upgrade options.
Initially, the BPL-Loewe range of CTVs will be marketed through a select number of exclusive consumer electronic showrooms in Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi.
It will also be displayed in elite lifestyle stores. In the second phase of the roll-out,BPL Loewe will be launched in Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune.
