US markets fall

MUMBAI: The US markets fell on Wednesday. According to marketmen the reason for the fall in the country’s markets was the huge drop in financial shares on the background of the AIG bailout and the Lehman Bros going down.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell 449.36 points to close at 10,609.66. The Standard and Poor 500 index went down by 57.20 points at 1,156.39. The NASDAQ slid by 109.05 points to end at 2,098.85.
