Terrorism
Give peace a chance
The consequences of the US-led retaliatory strikes against Afghanistan are too fearsome. The US President, Mr George Bush should once again announce that he will not seek bin Laden's life on two conditions:

War on terrorism
This refers to the article `Will it be an American blitzkrieg?' (Business Line, October 9).

Futility of religion
The author's suggestion of circulating through UN public relations divisions the Muslim clerical leaders condemnation of recent terrorist attacks in New York and Washington as something forbidden by Allah and their declaration that Allah would consider a ny fight against terrorism as a holy duty is a worthwhile one. But I also feel this is the right time for everyone to probe into the utility or futility of religion.
