Sweet sound of music

Santhosh Malliah

The name `Sound Suite' is music to the ears of aspiring musicians in Chennai, these days. Sound Suite is a concept-studio that is dedicated to providing breakthrough opportunities to budding musicians in the South. It is a one-stop shop for musicians to rehearse, record and replicate their musical talent, while crystallising their musical ability. This innovative set-up serves to promote musical talent by rehearsing live with quality equipment and provides hi-quality recording facilities.

Sound Suite has been pioneered by Orange Pale, one of India's leading audio consultants. Their expertise in digital equipment had been used in the installation of sound studios at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Orange Pale is also one of the few stud ios in India to use Sonic Solutions, the high-end digital music software, pioneered by Apple Computer, that is used for sound engineering and sound restoration.

Aspiring musicians can play and record their music with digital output on CD here, at minimal cost. Since its inception, Sound Suite has had diverse musicians on a common platform by offering recording facilities at a single point. Apart from being a one -stop shop for advertising jingles, it also trains aspiring studio engineers. In the city that nurtured A.R. Rehman and Sandeep Chowta, Sound Suite could well be the catalyst for India's millennial generation of music wizards.
