Down correction likely in Malaysia palm oil
Malaysia's palm oil futures opened the previous week with a bang on renewed speculative buying despite weak export figures. Gains in CBOT electronic trading inspired more buying. CBOT is looking very strong and that has added to the bullish momentum. Ind onesias plan to raise palm oil export tax is also positive for the markets. There was also speculative buying on rumors that private forecaster Ivan Wong, would come up with market friendly July crop data.

Upward correction due in NY cotton
New York Cotton Exchange cotton futures continued its range-bound move throughout the week, moving in a narrow range. Cotton is expected to move in this range for quite a while before any significant move could take place. While there is a growing sense that the lows were in for cotton, upside potential was limited with the bulk of the US crop doing so well and no serious weather threat for cotton worldwide.
