Information Technology
Need for restructuring
The slump in the domestic IT industry has highlighted the need for restructuring the sector. Economic ups and downs are an integral part of every sector. Therefore, they cannot be yardsticks to judge performance, since several other factors need to be co nsidered for such an evaluation. So, there seems to be no justification in viewing the IT industry in isolation.

Mutual Funds
UTI measures
The article ``Package deal for investors eludes UTI'', (Business Line, July 15) dwells on the measures the UTI is adopting to mitigate the troubles of investors who had reposed their faith in it.

Politics
Why involve Pakistan?
This refers to the editorial, `Agony in Agra' (Business Line, July 18). One was always fascinated by the Pakistani stand vis-a-vis Kashmir, this summit notwithstanding.
