New luxury buses launched in Bangalore

BANGALORE, July 5

BLUELINES, a Bangalore-based travel company launched two news buses, designed by Dilip Chabria here on Wednesday.

Mr. Nagaraj Setty, Chairman of Bluelines, said that under an agreement with DC, the design of the buses was exclusive to Bluelines and would not be repeated for other companies.

He said that these luxury buses would ply on long distance routes and the passenger fares would be 20 per cent higher.

Some of the features of the bus, include electronic equipment designed for shock proof damping, overhead hatrack modules with gas-assisted lift mechanism, all interior panels/ clads/ hardware come with high sensitivity designed to maximize aircraft ambie nce, two aisle system for easy access to all seats, fully reclinable seating, concealed window drapes and free flow air conditioning system.

Bluelines was set up in 1998 with a fleet of 11 buses. It runs services to Mangalore, Chennai, Kundapur and Ernakulam and also plans to schedule trips to Hyderabad and Goa soon. Blulines has also a double decker service and luxury mini coaches.
