BANGALORE, May 6

RAMSOFT Technologies, a systems and applications software development company, is planning to strengthen its presence in Europe. The company, which already has a presence in Germany and Switzerland, is in talks with a couple of local firms in Germany and France for marketing alliances, according to Mr Ramesh Santhanam, chief executive, Ramsoft Technologies.

The company has recently tied up with a Finland-based firm to tap the Scandinavian market. ``These marketing tie-ups would help us locate larger prospects in these countries,'' he said.

Ramsoft, which has a domain expertise in banking and finance, internet and e-services, network management, avionics and telecommunications, was planning to invest up to $250,000 in opening a new office at Munich, he said.

The company which registered a profit of Rs 2 crore on a revenue of Rs 8 crore, is planning to double its turnover for the current year. ``The growth would be coming mainly from Germany, as the market there has a huge potential,'' Mr Santhanam added. It also planned to increase its headcount by adding 50 to 60 engineers to its strength of 120 engineers by the end of the year, he said.
