KOLKATA: Bhardwaz Compusoft Ltd, the first IT venture of the Bhardwaz group of companies, plans to float a new portal on the city's restaurants. It would be named www.khanaurpina.com. It would also introduce e-trading facilities on www.yellowpagesindya.c
om, which was formally launched on Saturday.
Mr Vinod Singh, CEO of Bhardwaz Compusoft, said : "It will take us another 45 days to launch the portal on restaurants, but the e-trading facility would be available to the users of www.yellowpagesindya.com within 15 days.''
The company, whose capital base is Rs one crore, has a technical collaboration with the Australia-based Smartnet Communication Systems. About six months back, the Australian company entered into an agreement with Bhardwaz Compusoft to hold five per cent
stake in it.
Further, talks were on with several venture capital funds. ``We are negotiating with some Canada-based NRIs, but I will not be able to disclose their identities'', he said.
Bhardwaz Compusoft is also into the business of web development, software development and hardware. It will also offer hosting services. Its servers are based in Australia and the US. ``We have developed sites such as www.nationthailand.com and www.india
bulls.com among others,'' Mr Singh said.
Regarding www.yellowpagesindya.com, he pointed out that it was different from other sites in this category. ``All the other yellow page sites are static, but ours is dynamic and it is updated regularly. Moreover, the subscribers can retain the informatio
n on their systems and it can be updated offline, without logging into the Net'', he explained.
The revenue flow of Bhardwaz Compusoft would be through new listings, e-trading and other services. He expects www.yellowpagesindya.com to have 50,000 users within one year and that will ensure an income of Rs four crore. -- Our Bureau
