S. Rly introduces seven new trains
SOUTHERN Railway has introduced seven new trains and has extended six existing trains. The new trains to be introduced _ starting from July 1 _ are a daily Chennai Central-Coimbatore-Chennai Central inter city express, a daily Chennai Egmore-Thanjavur-Ch ennai Egmore link express, a bi-weekly Nagercoil-Tirupati-Nagercoil express, a weekly Kurla-Madurai-Kurla express, a daily Bangalore-Shimoga town-Bangalore overnight express, a weekly Bangalore-Jodhpur-Bangalore express and a weekly Bangalore-Ajmer-Banga lore express.

Gati inducts new vessel in Chennai-Port Blair sector
GATI Coast-to-Coast (formerly TCI Shipping), a division of Gati Corporation Ltd, has acquired a new vessel, to be inducted into the Chennai-Port Blair sector.

MSDC to meet at Vizag tomorrow
THE third meeting of the Maritime States Development Council will be held at Visakhapatnam on July 2. The meeting to be chaired by the Union Minister of Surface Transport, Mr. Rajnath Singh, will also be attended by Ministers in-charge of ports of mariti me States who are members of the Council, an official release said here on Thursday.

Meet to discuss joint venture between major, minor ports
THE detailed guidelines framed by the Ministry of Surface Transport on joint ventures between major ports and others including minor ports will form part of the agenda of the third meeting of the Maritime States Development Council (MSDC) to be held at V isakhapatnam on July 1 and 2.
