LOOKING for information on the corporate world without surfing the Internet for hours? Try the ValueNotes.com site soft launched in Pune on Wednesday. According to Mr. Arun Jethmalani, founder of the site, it is the first search engine dedicated to the I ndian corporate and financial sector.

Giving an overview of the site, he said Indian investors who had been thus far starved of the right information would now face the problem of information overload. The site sought to provide a resource for the investors, he said. The promoters of the sit e seek to create a virtual community of investors who share ideas and knowledge, helping select the investment options best suited for each.

The site provides a comprehensive listing of all research, information and data on Indian equity markets, corporate sector, Government policy, industries, tax and legal aspects. The data had been culled from various sites and publications as also unpubli shed sources, Mr. Jethmalani said. The information had been systematically classified and organised to enable easy search and retrieval, he added.
