Reliance net up 41 pc at Rs 2,403 cr -- No plans to dilute stake in RPL
PETROCHEM and textiles major Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) today reported a net profit of Rs. 2,403 crores for the full year 1999-2000, up 41 per cent from Rs. 1,704 crores the previous fiscal. The financial performance was buoyed by increased volumes, p articularly in the fourth quarter.

Reliance:Artificial boost to net earnings
AT first glance, Reliance Industries' 41 per cent growth in net earnings to Rs. 2,403 crores for the year ended March 31, 2000, appears quite impressive. But adjusted for a one-time, extraordinary income of Rs. 328 crores arising from exchange difference on conversion of foreign exchange assets repatriated back to India, the net earnings growth falls to 21.77 per cent.

Gujarat Ambuja 9-month net at Rs 376 cr
GUJARAT Ambuja Cements Ltd has recorded a 300 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs. 376 crores for the nine-month period ending March 31, 2000 as compared to Rs. 93 crores in the year-ago period.
