Plan to sell off Balmer Lawrie's box cargo division
THE Union Minister for Petroleum, Mr. Ram Naik, on Friday said that the Centre may sell off the freight container business of the state-owned Balmer Lawrie and Co Ltd.

Minimum freight for heavy carriage flayed
THE Merchants Chamber of Commerce (MCC), in a recent representation to the State Minister of Transport and Sports, Mr. Subhas Chakraborty, has asked the Government to keep in abeyance the proposal to fix the minimum freight rate for heavy carriage vehicl es in West Bengal to Rs. 11 per km.
