Masoor declines on lack of buying support

NEW DELHI: Wholesale prices of masoor moved down by Rs 50 a quintal in the national capital on Saturday on slackened buying.

Masoor small and bold prices eased to Rs 3200-3400 and Rs 3400-3550 per quintal respectively. Its dal local and best quality followed suit and traded lower by Rs 50 each at Rs 4300-4500 and Rs 4400-4500 per quintal respectively.

Traders said slowdown in buying by stockists at higher levels, mainly led to fall in massoor prices.

Following were today's quotations (per quintal): Urad Maharashtra 2250-2455, Rangoon 2455-2530, Urad chilka (local) 2880-3080, best 3150-3600, dhoya local 2900-3200, best 3250-3350, Moong Maharashtra 2500-2800, Rajasthan 2500-2550, dal moong chilka local 3050-3150, best 3250-3650, moong dhoya local 3200-3400, best quality 3300-3625, masoor small 3200-3400, bold 3400-3550, dal masoor local 4300-4500, best quality 4400-4500 Malka local 4400-4600, best 4700-4800, Moth 2025-2125, Arhar Maharashtra 2805-2855 , Rangoon 2700-2750, dal arhar dara 3550-3750 and patka 3600-3900.

Gram 2400-2500, gram dal (local) 2700-2800, best quality 3100-3300, besin (35 kg) shakti bhog 1150 rajdhani 1175, Rajmah chitra Pune 3625-4325, China 4000-4450, red 3575-3625, kabli gram small 2800-3550, dabra 2750-2850, imported 4600-4700, lobia 2200-26 00, peas white 2550-2600 and green 2650-2750. - PTI
