Wipro to have 2 Joint CEOs

Three more named to board of directors

Bangalore, April 18 IT major Wipro Ltd on Friday said it introduced changes in the management structure of its IT business and added to its board of directors.

The company said it appointed Mr Girish Paranjpe and Mr Suresh Vaswani as Joint Chief Executives of its IT business. Mr Paranjpe, Mr Vaswani and Mr Suresh Senapaty have been appointed to the board, the company added.

Commenting on the changes, Mr Azim Premji, Chairman, said the company is transitioning its leadership to a pair of Joint Chief Executives who together would give twice the leverage to seize the opportunity the company has in the IT, R&D and BPO services business.

Wipro also named Mr Sudip Banerjee as a Director on the Advisory Board of PremjiInvest.

Most recently, Mr Paranjpe was the President of Banking, Financial Services and Insurance business unit of the global IT business of Wipro and Mr Vaswani was the President of Wipro Infotech and of Global Practices, Wipro said.

Mr Senapaty has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since 1995, the company added.
