Hutch4help launches location-based service in Delhi

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI, May 28

NEXT time you are stranded on the road in Delhi, need immediate medical attention or need to alert the nearest police station, and don't know which number to call, just press 4 followed by POLICE (765423) on your Hutch phone and you are instantly connected to the nearest police station or 4 followed by HOSPITAL in case of medical help.

Going a step ahead in its location based services for the Delhi customers, Hutch has introduced Hutch4help — a dial-in location based service that will allow Hutch subscribers to connect instantly to the nearest police station, hospital or any other emergency services such as chemist shops, or taxi services to begin with, through a single number anytime of the day, anywhere in the Capital.

Hutch4help is an intelligent service as the calls are routed based on the subscriber's location to the nearest points of service.

The service is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week for both pre-paid and post-paid subscribers in Delhi from today. It will be available at local call rates and the subscriber can access the service on his/her existing Hutch phone.
