Cubix Business Systems launches temple software

Sankar Radhakrishnan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, May 28

CUBIX Business Systems, a Thiruvananthapuram-based software developer, has launched a comprehensive temple administration software. Branded Kshetrasuvidham, the package is currently available in Malayalam. However, efforts are on to develop versions of the software in the three other South Indian languages, said Mr Shibu Samuel, Chief Executive, Cubix Business Systems.

The software, which has already been installed in two temples in Kerala including the famous Attukal temple in Thiruvananthapuram, is a complete solution for all the activities connected with a temple, said Mr Samuel.

Modules covered include billing and booking of poojas, generation of reports on various aspects of temple administration, real-time tracking of a temple's inventory and other data, maintenance of temple accounts and so on.

It allows temple administrators to pick and choose modules that best suit their requirements, he added. The package also makes it possible for temples to offer Internet-based pooja bookings and other online facilities to devotees, explained Mr Samuel. The software can be particularly useful for the management of a temple's stores, he declared.

The software can be configured to display available dates for special poojas, meet the special requirements of devotees, keep track of the special offerings made by devotees and so on.

Besides enabling the smooth functioning of the routine activities of a temple, the software package can also handle the human resources records and payroll of the temple, said Mr Samuel. The product can also be used to track the sales of religious memorabilia from shops attached to the temple, he pointed out.

The package also comes with an almanac that converts the Malayalam calendar into the Gregorian (English) calendar and vice-versa.

Also part of the package is a 50-year Panchangam — the traditional Indian calendar that covers everything from the phases of the moon to the movement of the stars and planets and the auspicious time of the day for various activities.

Other modules such as casting of horoscopes and preparation of forecasts can also be incorporated in the package.

According to Mr Samuel, the package is extremely user-friendly and temple staff can be trained to use it with little difficulty. The pricing for the package is flexible and depends on the various modules that are selected by the client, he added.
