Hughes sees much scope for BPO biz

HYDERABAD, April 11

HUGHES Software Systems (HSS), a global software outsourcing company and a subsidiary of the diversified Hughes Electronics Corporation, sees a growing scope for its business process outsourcing (BPO) operations including technical help-desk solutions.

The President and Managing Director, Mr Arun Kumar, told Business Line that innovation and excellence are the key drivers behind the value proposition of the company's BPO operations.

"Our strong process expertise, combined with dedication to understand and deliver to meet and exceed our customer expectations, will be a key differentiator."

The company bagged a major order recently.

"The HSS foray into BPO business is progressing well. We have signed our first contract with DirecWay product line of Hughes Network Systems for providing technical help desk service. We have set up a 40,000 sq.ft facility for this new business near our corporate offices in Gurgaon."

The Hughes BPO services division provides online customer care, both in-bound and out-bound, using voice, chat and e-mail.

This BPO customer care services cover various verticals across multiple industry segments such as IT and networking, telecom, automotive, insurance and banking and financial services.

"The expertise can be easily leveraged for other industry verticals. We also offer services such as transaction processing and back-office processing."
