Magnasoft ties up with French firm

BANGALORE, April 11

MAGNASOFT Consulting India Pvt Ltd, a Bangalore-based geographical information systems (GIS) solutions provider has tied up with FIT of France, a GIS services firm, to leverage complementary technology, project management skills and diverse domain expertise of the latter and sell its solutions.

Both companies would partner in areas of application development, GIS consulting, remote sensing and digital mapping which would span segments such as urban planning, utilities, transportation, water and waste water, said Mr S. Sridhar, Managing Director of Magnasoft.

Magnasoft, which is executing projects in Europe, Australia and the US, plans to consolidate its presence in Europe by jointly targeting projects with FIT, said Mr Abhishek Mukherjee, Chairman and CEO. The two-year-old Magnasoft has about 100 people and is funded by Global Technology Ventures. Mr Mukherjee declined to comment on the revenues of the company citing non-disclosure agreements.
