Nikhil becomes new ED for Cartoon Network

MUMBAI, April 10

MR Nikhil Mirchandani has been promoted to the position of Executive Director - Strategic Marketing at Cartoon Network India, according to the company. He previously held dual positions of Director — Turner Advertising Sales for North & East regions, as well as Advertising Sales Channel Manager for Cartoon Network.

In his new role, he will relocate to the Network's Mumbai office to oversee and provide strategic direction to Cartoon Network's brand and programme marketing efforts, the release said. He will also oversee advertising sales, off channel commerce, programming, and the public relations and creative teams.

Prior to joining Turner, Mr Mirchandani worked with Sony Entertainment Television India Ltd. in Mumbai, and later in New Delhi, as the zonal advertising sales manager.

Cartoon Network, from Turner Broadcasting System Inc, was launched in the Asia-Pacific region in 1994. TBS is an AOL Time Warner company.
