KOCHI: The International Coconut Summit (ICS) 2003 will be held here at the International Stadium from May 7.

The four-day summit will have sessions on general issues and technologies. The organisers of the ICS told Business Line that they would set up facilities at the venue of the summit for seekers of manufacturing technology. Technology for manufacturing at least 100 coconut-based products will be available from different countries. They claimed that the summit would help entrepreneurs who are seeking suitable technology for setting up coconut-based manufacturing units in the country.

Experts from India and abroad, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka will present papers at the summit. The mega event is being organised by the Centre for Bharatiya Marketing Development, a unit of the Swadeshi Jagaran Foundation.
