Great Eastern to raise Rs 95 cr

MUMBAI: Great Eastern Shipping Co is raising Rs 95 crore through a non-convertible debenture issue.

The company's shipping and offshore divisions have contributed 73 per cent and 21 per cent to its total revenues respectively in 2001-02. It reported a net profit of Rs 134 crore during the nine months ended December 31 2002 on an operating income of Rs 697 crore.

The NCD issue received an `AAA' rating by Crisil, which was based on the company's track record and its deployment of shipping fleet in the international market during the last two years.
