Credit Cards & Debit Cards SBI launches Hyderabad card Our Bureau
HYDERABAD, April 8 SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd, the country's leading issuer of Visa cards, has announced the launch of Hyderabad's own city affinity card, the SBI Hyderabad Card. In a press release here on Tuesday, SBI Cards said the Hyderabad Card was an exclusive initiative for the citizens of Hyderabad. The card captures the spirit of Hyderabad with a striking visual of the Hussain Sagar Lake, one of the city's most prominent landmarks. The card would be an international credit card offering unique benefits to the citizens of Hyderabad ranging from special discounts, exclusive travel and holiday offers as well as exclusive invitations to special events in the city. The card would be available from both State Bank of India and State Bank of Hyderabad. Announcing the launch of the card, the SBI Cards Chief Executive Officer, Mr Iqbal Singh, said, "The SBI Hyderabad Card offers the citizens of Hyderabad an opportunity to experience the best that the city has to offer it be shopping, cuisine, travelling or music. The card offers a wide range of unmatched features, wide acceptance in India and overseas as well as exclusive offers for Hyderabadis. We are extremely pleased to launch the first city-centric affinity card for the city of Hyderabad." Designed to appeal to a broad-based target audience in the 25+ age group ranging from young upwardly mobile professionals to the middle and upper middle class segments as well as travellers, the SBI Hyderabad Card features a wide range of exciting global and city-specific benefits. Besides special discounts ranging from 10 per cent to 30 per cent across different categories of merchants in Hyderabad including restaurants, garments, automobiles, music, books, electronics, chemists, jewellery and health centres, the cardholders can also avail exclusive travel and holiday offers around the country along with special offers on air travel. The SBI Hyderabad Card is being made available at a joining fee of Rs 250 and an annual fee of Rs 750. To be eligible to acquire the card, salaried people would need to show an annual income of Rs 75,000, while for self-employed individuals, the eligibility level is fixed at an annual income of Rs 60,000. The would be loaded with the triple advantage rewards programme whereby the customers can redeem their points for fees or get discounts on leading brands or get attractive gifts, the release said.
