COIMBATORE, April 7

V9 Broadband Technologies, engaged in research and commercial deployment of next generation broadband networks, has tied up with IP Deliver Inc of the US for establishing research and development centres at Bangalore and Tirupati.

Under the contract, IP Deliver Inc will provide the research grant and expertise in product positioning and marketing of the service in the US.

V9 has been actively working on the worldwide deployment of the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) networks for delivering rich media content.

The company has developed solutions for the integration and deployment of IPv6 on the existing Internet backbones, specifically IPv4.

The next generation IPv6/Internet2 network was expected to revolutionise the way in which the audio and video is delivered through the Net, Mr Prashanth Koorapati, Chief Executive Officer, V9 Broadband, said. The service can be accessed in rural areas in a cost-effective manner, he said, adding that to make the proposition viable, V9 proposed to work with BSNL.
